This solution worked when AS was 3.0 but stopped working since I updated and now I get Failed to run AAPT error and a warning that android.enableAapt2 is deprecated I also tried to use File>Invalidate Caches/Restart option but It didn't work either. This question has been asked plenty of times and for most cases, the solution was to add: android.enableAapt2=false

I've updated my Android Studio from 3.0 to 3.1 version and Build Tools, Gradle plugin and when I want to build anything I get an AAPT2 error: check the log for details.
